Well.. the first things are food, rent, utitlities (gas/electric). Those things should be the first thing to pay for.
From there you may have a land line phone bill, cell phone, car insurance, health insurance (hopefully through your work).
Also - gas for your car, car payment (most people have them, stay away from it if you can), car service (oil changes and other maintenance), clothing, personal care, entertainment, laundry expenses if you don't have your own washing machine.
If you have credit card or other debt, you also have to budget that stuff in.

All the stuff these people said. My biggest piece of advice is stay away from credit cards,so easy to use and so hard to pay off.In my early 20's I had 2 cards owing $6000, I cut them up and paid them off and haven't had one since. Don't be a slave to the banks.

Rent, food, gas, car insurance, cable, internet, phone.
electricity, natural gas, laundry detergent,
(or quarters for laundromat)
car repairs, clothes, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.
you might need dishes, furniture, etc to get set up.
most kids think it is only rent and forget about all the other
things their parents are buying.
