Yes babies have a habbit of being at ease only at places to which they are used to.
During this moving period, keep her with you as much as possible. She will get used to the new place in a few days, but it is better that when she gets scared of the new place she has your voice to hear, your face to see and your touch to feel. What else are the parents for?

She's probably not used to the sounds of her new room. Plus, it probably looks, smells, and feels different than her old room. It could be something as subtle as temperature, but I think it will take her time to get used to her new space.
During the day before naps and at night before bed show her, her new room. My son's room is a winnie the pooh theme. We have a pooh mobile and I introduced the characters to him when he had a hard time adjusting when we came back from India after three weeks there. Also, on the walls he has character pillows I introduced him to. And, there are wooden figuers in a pots n pans band...eeyore plays music. I'd show him eeyore and we'd dance to the music.
It took two weeks, but he's now sleeping through the night again and taking his regular naps.

I had the same problem when I moved with my 3 month old son. My son would start screaming at all hours of the night when he slept in his new room. He stopped when he knew I was in the room with him. So I decided to slep in his room for a few nights. About a week or so later he was fine & sleeping in his new room with out me in there. Hope this helps.

It's very possible she's just scared to the unfamiliar surroundings. She might need a little extra comfort for the next few weeks while you and your family are adjusting. Babies can also pick up on stress from their parents. She may be reacting to that as well.

She is certainly aware of her unfamiliar surroundings. Spend time with her in her room in the day and put some of her stuff around. Talk to her,.... This is (her name,s) room and this is her bed and her toys and blankets and mobiles or whatever else is around. It will take a little time to get used to it, I would expect. If she sees you happy and settling she will know it is ok and adjust.

she was probably scared or jsut had a nightmare. if anything keep a nightlight on or the door slightly open so she can see she is not in a room alone.
but since she is so young still, try turning on the crib mobile. if you dont have one, buy one. the music and the shapes will stimulate her brain and she will be able to go to sleep more calmly.

Babies know when they are in different places or when their surrounding change. When i took my twins home from The hospital they where screaming so i was scared and told my husband to call the Dr. The Dr. said that babies need to adjust to their surroundings.

babys are not stupid, and they are just as aware of things like this, as you are. She does understand that she is in a new place, but what you as the parent needs to do, is talk to her (even though she is a baby) mothers and babys have a bond, and she can understand alot of what you are saying, even though it might not seem like it.
Changing places like that is hard on a young child, but she will soon get over it and realize that this is her new home, and she will grow to like it.

she knew it wasnt her room..babies can tell the difference b/c of the energy in the new house and room...i would suggest trying to put her in your room for a couple days until she gets used to the new envirnment...that could be very scary for her
