Only what we see in the headlines, few have time in today's world to follow links and investigate for truth! Those that do are either extremely motivated or home sick with time to invest in higher learning. Either way that does not amount to the masses being propagandized! Most see the world as inferior to us without the intelligence of the majority of American Public, also like out of a "national geographic" pictorial, there for unable to rule themselves or conduct themselves, this belief allows us to be maneuvered into wars to "save" these people from themselves. When in fact I believe we are no different then their leaders, just seeking economic superiority and land mass control and using the beliefs of the people to anger them to go to war for subversive reasons of the greedy governments not the reasons they give to the lame public, us, them, the masses who die not the rich bureaucracy that inflames the masses to do all for love of country, Our Country? Or love of wanting to rule other peoples country? I for one am so sick of the deceit and want to know the truth! And see the Powers come together, share, barter, exchange, get rid of extremist bullying types come to the drawing board and save this planet!

Although many people in the US feel that the rest of the world is of little importance, many do not. Because many Americans travel less internationally than their counterparts in other wealthy nations, we are often fascinated by other cultures, and once we've travelled a bit, we are hooked and want to see more. :)
We tend to hear about other countries here based on their government and not their people, so sometimes prejudices exist for that reason. The same is true of the world's opinion of America, though. While many people around the world talk about how much they dislike America, far fewer people bear the same grudge against Americans when they meet them.

The rest of the world doesn't like us much.
I believe that China is big and is experiencing a lot of the problems that America faces.
I think India has a lot of smart people there.
I think Australia is sexy.
I think France has a neat culture.
I think the U.K. is a proper and intelligent nation.
I think I feel sorry for North Koreans.
I think Canada is peaceful.
I think Mexico needs help with law enforcement.
I think South America is going through growing pains.
I think Iran needs to lighten up.
I think Iraq needs everyone's help, not just ours.
I think the middle east in general needs peace.
I think Japan is cool. I think of them as a very honorable nation and they have cool technology.
I think Africa at large is going through growing pains.
I think Germany and Germans are cool. I like the German language and they have some of the best Heavy Metal around.
I think Italians are passionate.
I think I like Spain's work ethic.
I think Russia is trying to find its own identity again.
I think this American thinks that the rest of world is similiar to us here in the USA. We all have our basic needs and concerns.

I believe that there are many beautiful and exotic places that are shared by equally beautiful and exotic people. I think that other places in this world are different, but no better than any other place.
I think there are good and bad people in every place you come to, but I also know you cant judge a book by its cover and you cant lump all people in the same catagory after one meeting.
I think that there are poor places, rich places, nice places and bad places. I think some places have become the way they are by choice, and others are that way due to things they cannot control.
But the Earth in general is beautiful...

Most Americans are too controlled and subverted by overbearing groups to be allowed to think beyond the limits of a very narrow existence. I'm glad there's something bigger than man in the cosmos, and that there is always hope.

This is sort of a general question. US Americans have varying opinions of different places like everyone else.

The same thing we think of our own neighborhoods and towns: There are good people, bad people, and those who are content to watch the destruction unfold.
