I have tried plugging them into all of my usb ports and have downloaded all of the software that has been suggested or even hinted to me. Some one please help.

my computer is a couple of years old and is running on windows xp. windows media player does not recognize my mp3 when it is pluged in and there have not been any upgrades for my camera.

Sounds like a driver issue. Contrary to belief not all USB devices are truly plug and play. You may need to go to the manufacture and get the updates for the devices

If you have an older computer, the issue may be with your hardware or operating system... for example, the PSP doesn't work with Windows 98. If your computer is new, there may be a connection problem inside the computer.

the windows media player is all you need to sync music to the mp3 player. if installed, it should be set as a default player and the process is easy from there to add or remove content.
