the only shock was that Sharapova didn't put up a fight. I knew Serena would win simply because Sharapova defeating Serena a few years ago was what put Maria on the map ... therefore, if Serena could get up for anybody - it would be Maria. Notice how Serena had to comeback in nearly all of her matches prior, yet she leaped all over Sharapova for the first serve !! She's baaaack !!

I was equally shocked by how wonderfully Serena played and how poorly Sharapova played. It says a lot about both players, as well as the state of women's tennis.

yes i was really disappointed wen Sharapova lost to Williams because Sharapova is my favourite tennis player(girl) she obviously didnt play to her potential trust if she had just given out all what she had she would have crushed Williams because if they both play their best Sharapova is the best
