From what I understand, Leno's retiring because he wants to, not because the show or NBC wants him to.
I can understand why you might not like Conan ... he's kind of hit-and-miss, but to me he's funnier and edgier than Leno or even Letterman nowadays. Give him a chance.

Conan is a genius! The baffoon has written for multiple Emmy Award winning shows, including SNL and The Simpsons. He has a wit and since of timing about him that we have not seen since Carson. Also, he is not afraid to make himself look foolish to get a laugh from his audience.
He is the better successor to Johnny Carson than Leno ever was...

Sadly we can't do anything because Leno wants to leave. Conan has his very own style of comedy, ya either like it or ya don't. I am curious to see how much he changes the Tonight Show. One thing for sure, no one can replace Johnny Carson!

To be quite honest, I have always been a Letterman guy myself. Jay has grown on me a tiny bit, but I hate his voice. I would actually take Conan's buffoon-iness over Jay.
