make a list of all the tasks you have to do, then tick them off as they get done, give yourself times to do them by, eg. filing at 12.30, typing 12.40 etc etc (sorry not being prejudiced picking filing and typing, first things that came to mind)

I'll be tracking the answers to this question for sure ! My husband is the same way. I have to prepare him for weeks for stuff, keep reminding him, nagging him etc. But everytime single time he leaves whatever task it is until the last possible minute. It drives me nuts ! He gets stressed out I get stressed out, we fight, it's horrible. It keeps me on edge and I hate it. Like today we are having work done in our garage - he's known for weeks. He job was to clean it out - it is packed full of crap. Well he decides to start last night around 10pm ! He was up until 2am loading all the junk into the truck for the dumps. I was a nervous wreck thinking it wouldn't be done before the workers got there this morning. Anyway - just venting, I'll be curious to see what advice the others have.

Sometimes people procrastinate because they don't know how to do the thing that needs doing. But sometimes it is because they want to do such a great job that they don't get started on it because they keep thinking of better ways to do the job, perfectly. When I used to have this problem someone told me to make a list of ten things I needed to do, and then pick one thing that I was able to do right now, and two more things that I can do on this day. I started out with that and then I worked out daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that all have to get done on time, then I can fit the other "new business" in around them. Good Luck!

Firstly, when you have something to do, just do it. Then when you are doing a chore, finish it. Do not pick something else up while you are still in the middle of something. This is my wife's biggest problem. She tries to do everything, so at any one time, she is juggling 5, 6, 7 different projects, which means at the end of the day, nothing is done, just a whole bunch of things half done.

I have the same problem. I end up hating myself at the end of the day because I have accomplished nothing. I wish I had an answer for you, but I'll be checking back here for advice, myself. Good luck to us both.

You and I would make a great couple. Nothing worries me until a problem occurs. It makes a great life. I don't have any tips but tell me, does this bug your husband?
