I just got a 37" LCD HDTV flat screen tv with an HDMI ready port instead of buying eagles playoff tickets and wanted the PS3 for sometime now. I recently played one on a little HDTV at walmart (granted it was only NBA 07) and i loved it. i would really like to get one but not sure if i should or shouldnt yet and wait...ppl say theres nothing wrong with them but others say if they are defective in any way to just return them, is that really how it goes? others are complaining about the titles...if i had madden, nfs carbon and sonic for the time being id be fine..until resident evil 5 comes out. i would try that resistance game, never played it yet but that seems to be the hot game for PS fans...i had ps1 and 2, my g/f has xbox and i played it but not a microsoft fan so not really trying to buy a 360. PS3 owners can you give me some input...bad or good please..thanks!

I have a PS3 (actually i have 2) and it's a blast. Honestly, the NBA 07 game is probably the worst game that they have. The other games are a lot better. Madden is pretty good and Resistance is one of the best games I have ever played. The reason that I would get a PS3 instead of a 360 is because online gaming is free. Resistance online is awsome. If a store in your area has any PS3's in stock, I would highly recommend that you get one.

Get the 360. I was in the same position 9 months ago. But back then I had to decide If I should get a 360 or a PS3. I cursed Microsoft before I bought my 360. Now that I have one it is worth every penny. Not only can you stream most of the media from your computer (wirelessly), they have some decent games coming out. I just got my HDTV and the 360 is an A+ on it. So get yourself a 360 and a game that you know you will play and tell yourself you will trade it in when you are ready to get that PS3. You never know, you might grow to love the damn thing like I did. ((I still hate Halo, SOCOM forever))

I would wait a year for the PS3, it is in bad condition now thanks to Sony messing up a lot of games. The system has next to nothing exclusives. Resistance is a fun game, but that is the only game it is riding on, the rest are all for the other systems even the regular systems. If Sony doesn't get their act together the PS3 is going to go the way of Dreamcast and sink, problem is, it will take Sony with it. PS3 seems to have their bugs and problems fixed in a majority of them now, but they still ned to get on the ball of getting exclusive rights to their games. They already lost Assassin Creed and Grand Theft Auto IV, and now Devil May Cry 4 is said to be going to Microsoft. So unless you want to spend 600 on a console that has next to nothing in its sole purpose your choice, but at least Xbox 360 has exclusives and multiplatform games, also cheaper. But if I were you and really wanting a PS3, I would wait for a little bit and see how Sony does with their console before you go out and buy and then come to find out all their games went to Xbox and/or Wii. I enjoy my PS2, but the PS3 just looks like a complicated system and Sony was too worried about getting Blu-Ray and all this other stuff with it, they overlooked their games and lost them all to the other consoles.

I would definitely wait until later in 2007 and until they become more readily available because by then the problems with the current version will be resolved. By then there will also be many more games and there is a possibility of more new features such as a slight overclock for the cell processor or, and this is a stretch, HD DVD support.

If you want one, buy it after the price goes down and they release some games that are worth playing.

i'm not a fan of ps3 i have a 360 byt if you want one and are going to get one someday you should just get one now there are not gonna come down in price so why wait

The PS3 is still very new. I personally would wait until they bang some more of the bugs out.
