Go to Start > Control Panel > Add & Remove Programs

Then, click Add & Remove Windows Components

When it opens, double click 'Accessories and Utilities', then double-click 'Communications'. Put a check next to HyperTerminal, then Okay/Next your way out. You may need to insert the Windows installation disk

Control Panel - ADD/REMOVE programs. Then choose "Add/Remove Windows Components" and look for it under "Communications". A lot of times by default it is not installed so just check it off and choose Next.
