Friday should have been the start of my period based on my cycle. I'm fairly regular, only varying by +/- 1 day. I tested Friday when I saw no sign of period coming, then again Sat morning - both negative. Monday, still no period and no sign of it coming. I've been monitoring my discharge and it's slimy, clear - a bit of white - although there was a small pink tint during one swipe - not seen again today. could it still be possible that I'm pregnant even though i'm testing negative? has anyone experienced where a test was negative for a period of time after they were late but still turned out to be pregnant?

I'm not really stressing, just wondering at this point b/c it os out of the ordinary for me. One additional detail I was thinking could be affecting it, is that I've started an exercise program and changed my eating habits, which i've read can alter your cycle.

Some people, like myself and my mother, have low levels of the pregnancy hormone. It took four negative blood tests and finally one possitive one when my mom was already five months pregnant with my brother for her to be told she was pregnant. For me, my count is so low when I'm pregnant, that I've been told twice that I'm having a fake pregnancy. With my son, I had to have a blood test, wait a few days, then take another to see if the level had climbed before they could tell me I was pregnant. Go see your doctor, blood tests work better than the pee test.

Today's pregnancy tests are highly accurate. Even the most regular cycles can at times be off. Are you feeling stressed or anxious about anything? Have you been ill or depressed? If you answer yes to any of these questions, then it is quite common for a period to be late or even completely missed. It is nothing at all to be concerned about. If your period doesn't happen by tomorrow, then I suggest you buy a test that advertises early detection (many can tell you after just one day) and take it again. If it still comes back negative, then don't worry about it. If your period doesn't resume next month, then see your doctor. Good luck.

Yep, it's very common. Call the DR for a blood test. Could also mean you are stressing over thinking you might be pregnant. The best time to test with an HPT is 1 week after the missed period - not the day after.

Wait until you are one week late then test, you will get better results. In the meantime calm down and stop worrying, you could be making your period be late with stress.

I was expecting a period on 12/25 and it didn't come and I didn't get a positive until 1/2 and it was faint then (barely visible).

Yes, it's possible you are pregnant. You are only late by 3 days, so give yourself another week and then try a urine test again.
