I went out and bought me a big tub of Elmer's glue to celebrate. I don't know about you, but as long as we have one soldier in harm's way in Iraq and elsewhere, I don't want to be hearing about an ailing HORSE!!

I do have a soul. It tells me people are more important than pets.
I have at least three brain cells. One tolook at the screen, one for the right hand to type, one for the left.

Every fallen soldier deserves ten times the national attention of a horse. By that logic, I never should have learned of Barbaro's existence. If I were the parent of a fallen soldier, I would be sick about it.

OK, you got that off your chest. All better? There is other stuff going on in the world. Horse racing is a sport followed by mostly rich, famous people. These are the same people that the news stations pander to.
See how that works?

No. What does one have ti do with the other? A poor animal that never harmed you or any one has died. I can have sympathy for that and still have even more sympathy for our soldiers in Iraq. Why would you take your anger at the war out on a poor dumb horse? You went out and brought glue? Under that logic if you drown enough kittens Osama Bin Landen will surrender

Glue isn't made from horses anymore. And horse meat is far too expensive to be put into dog food.
During a time of war, sometimes people need a feel good story.
I guess you wouldn't understand that, not having a soul and all.

Dude, seriously, you need to put down the glue and save the last couple of brain cells you have left. But don't worry, when you die, people will feel the same way you do about Barbaro. If they even know you existed to begin with.

Nope - I'm not glad. But I do put things into context. I agree, there are more important issues to discuss and lives to mourn - but that does not make me happy to know that a giant in the racing world is dead.
