As stated above, the UK only has one principality which is Wales!

Wales is a principality but Northern Ireland Great Britain and Scotland make up the United Kingdom

There are not four principalities in the UK. Only Wales is called a principality. Northern Ireland is part of the UK but it is not called a principality. Technically, England and Scotland are called kingdoms. That is where the term United Kingdom comes from. King James of Scotland inherited the English throne from Queen Elizabeth of England in the 1600's while retaining the Scottish throne.
