Negative side: low pay-dirty work-high cost of tools-constant training-process through thousands of pages of technical data to correctly diagnose and repair vehicles-usually only getting one chance to fix it right.
Positive side: challenging- variety- specialized fields could produce above average pay- building a customer base that respects you and your talents-dealership training-builds diagnostic and mechanical skills that can be throughout life-professional racing circuits.
It all depends on if you are the kind of person that wants to know how something works or the kind that don't care and in turn pays someone to fix it.

other than listed already it involves answering a lot of questions, and trying to decypher customers complaints/descriptions of noises for example "how come my car makes a funny noise when i step on the brakes?"
It can be annoying and frustrating trying to figure out what people mean when they cant accurately describe the issue
