Depends, are you going for a princess cut solitaire in a platinum setting from Tiffany's?

About half million, buy a smaller ring and a gorgeous house with a waterfront and a speed boat for the weekends.

Depends on the cut, the clarity and the setting, but a good one would cost around 3 million, maybe 4.

Diamonds are sold by carat weight. In the diamond trade, price is given in price per carat and not in total dollars. For example a 1.02ct diamond that costs $2,000 per carat would cost 1.02 X $2,000 (= $2,040).

12.5 x 2000= $25,000

Depends totally on the clarity and other factors like colour, cut, etcc.... Sheer weight alone would probably start it at about 8-$900,000.00 (just under one mil) BUt thats assuming poor quality. Good quality could be 2-5 million. And if it's nearly perfect... Wow-very rare at that size!

More than your boyfriend Jimbo could afford. Ask John Stamos. Maybe he still has some of the money from making Full House
