I think it is terrible. Pros shouldn't do it. One of the reasons people love professional sports is because we enjoy watching how good individual people can be with natural talent and hard work. Using steroids is cheating.

And it is really a problem when teens use them. They see the pros doing it and want to be like them. But the physiological problems that can occur are so devastating. Teens are just too young to understand. Most don't look ahead to the future. They see the glory right now with out seeing the consequences.

For professionals i say let them do what they want. The pressure to succeed must be immense and athletes have always been looking for an edge.
For teens, no way - too many potential health problems..If a teen athlete is caught he should be banned forever. No second chances.

For Adults/Professional Athletes/ It is a personal choice what a person wants to put in their body, so okay for adults. For teens, not a good idea, as a teen's hormone balance is still going through natural development and steroids are a serious health risk, even fatal.

there is no place in sports for steroids. the risks have been exposed and far outnumber the "short-term" benefits. think about it--- canseco is a pitcher now! he used to be the most prolific hitter of his era. he doesn't even look the same. sure you'll get a good season or two but can you sustain that over a career? i think not! the only way that barry did is because they really didn't sweat the usage until a black man started closing in on the white man's records. mcguire clearly used enhancements but he was a celebrity due to his color.

Steroids don't belong in sports weather your pro or just starting out. If the athlete has raw talent let it be.Drug enhanced performances are just like acting its only a show that will eventually end.
