There are numerous ' theories ' but I think by now the general public is agreed it was a government executive order apart from the presidency.
As in Roman times the Praetorian Guard had the power to install a Caesar at will given the requisite circumstances, apart from the Imperium, so too this government, and I think, any other, did so in the case of the president for undisclosed, unspecified reasons.
If you look at Hollywood movies, it will give you a distorted view. Here's a dichotomy The film
' JFK ' comes close to disclosure but betrays the public. Or at least that segment of the public that is yet uncompromised in corruption and general conspiracy.
There is a book that comes very close but also gives no point blank black and white answer but fills in the gaps ' JFK ' leaves behind.
" The Killing Of A President " Oliver Stone wrote I think the foreword or introduction. I forget who the author is.
My own personal belief - not theory? The shooter more than likely was nowhere in Dealey Plaza that day. The person responsible for pushing the button and did the actual killing. He may even not have been in the actual state of Texas.
The only wrinkle in the whole thing, is that Mr. Connally was in the same vehicle with the President. He was in fact wounded, but the disclosure of what he was hit with is still a mystery to me. Coupled with what Mr. Connally called out:
" They're trying to kill us all. "
This is a gory bit of history for all of us and signals to a new height of evil in the world.
At the very least we can say Jack Kennedy was pretty brave going there that day.
I think he might've known what was going to happen.
Lee Harvey Oswald? Alone? No, indeed;
" That dawg don't hunt. "

He was killed by the C.I.A (Central Intelligence Agency). Although Lee Harvey Oswald is credited with the deed, in depth analysis of the physical evidence doesn't show that.
More to the point, when Oswald served in the Marines he had trouble with his initial rifle qualifications (marksman) and never re-qualified. Secondly, prior to the Kennedy assination Oswald tried to kill General Walker form a much shorter distance (30 yards) that April so he couldn't have killed JFK a moving target at a greater distance without having practiced.
lastly, study the government's "magic bullet theory" bullets don't react in such a manner and come out in one piece.

JFK was killed on the orders of LBJ. Oswald was used as a scapegoat to cover up the conspiricy. There were other shooters at dealy plaza, but the government couldn't acknowledge that without blowing the entire scheme.

The murderer was the driver, watch the video closely and you'll see him turn around and cap Kennedy at point blank range.
