Save your breath if you intend to tell us fascism has anything whatsoever to do with the Bush administration, as that's demonstrably incorrect. Also, I'm not looking for a cut-and-paste job from Wikipedia. I'm looking for what you think fascism is.

I don't understand why you have to bring in the term "leftist," because "fascism" is a kind of ideology like capitalism, communism, and socialism. I like to hear things from the "horse's mouth" so to speak.

Benito Mussolini, the well-known fascist made the following remark:

"Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power."

And here's a question for you...Do you think he would have felt triumphant with what's happening in our world currently?!

Fascism is a political ideology and mass movement that seeks to place the nation, defined in exclusive biological, cultural, and/or historical terms, above all other sources of loyalty, and to create a mobilized national community.[1] Many different characteristics are attributed to fascism by different scholars, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, authoritarianism, militarism, corporatism, collectivism[2], anti-liberalism, and anti-communism. There are numerous debates between scholars regarding the nature of fascism, and the kinds of political movements and governments that may be called fascist. For further elaboration, please see definitions of fascism and fascism and ideology.

The corporate ownership of government such that government serves the corporate interests and NOT the popular interests, usually accompanied by repressive undemocratic measures as can be considered warrentless domestic spying, exec fiat detention without right of habeas, crooked elections (if there is a dog and pony show of "elections" at all) and "signing statements" to overule legislatively passed law. Anything sounding TOO familiar here??? Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

I have not seen a single question that properly used the words "fascist" or "fascism".

It is just like their disingenuous references and comparisons to Hitler and Naziism. It just demonstrates their lack of knowledge of history.

1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control
