It depends on the room that they've been given to grow in, how they're being fed, lots of variables, etc. Orandas can grow up to be 10 inches or so in size, and this can occur, with proper water maintenance and care over a period of maybe 6 - 8 years. If conditions are right, as mentioned. I don't know what size your little fishies are now, but, so far, if they are 3 inches or less, you're okay. Be prepared for when they start getting bigger than 3 inches, because you will need to graduate to a 60 gallon tank. In fact, if you want them to grow to be big, you should think about upgrading now, as this will be very necessary in the proper development of their little bodies. Good luck and have fun!

A few years, if they are healthy they can grow about 4 inches a year. You should plan to upgrade soon as was said above.
