Yes, it is possible. With my first pregnancy I was pregnant with fraternal twins. I miscarried one at about 5 months. The rest of my pregnancy I had assorted problems, so a close eye was kept on me and I was labeled high risk.
My son, who is now 10, I still have not told about his twin. Simply because it was a very painful ordeal. He makes comments at times how he wishes he was a twin or how he feels something is missing. Only my husband and I know what that is at this point in time.

Yes, it's much more common than you would think. My boyfriend's cousin was a twin, but his brother (or sister) was miscarried.
Also, it's possible to miscarry a twin and not realize it if the miscarriage happened before the first ultrasound or if the dr. missed the twin during the first ultrasound. I have heard of people (I don't think I know anyone personally) who had a miscarriage and decided to let the baby pass naturally instead of having a D&C, only to discover in a few weeks that they are still pregnant.
I hope that this isn't happening to you or anyone you know.

Yes, happened to a coworker of mine. She had an utlrasound at 8 weeks which showed twins. One had a much smaller sac, and slower heartrate. Then she had another ultrasound at 10 week, and there was only one baby. That baby is due in about 6 weeks.

I am not sure if you can actually misscarry with one, but it is possiable that one of the babies is not getting as much nutirents as the other and it could die. That is what happened to my mother, i was supposed to have a twin. Make sure you are taking prenatal vitamins and eating healthy. And remember, your not necessarily eating for 2 (or 3 int his case) you only need a certin amount of calories added to your diet each day.

Yes and it happen quite often in early pregnancy. It can happen in late pregnancy, too for a lot of reasons. The second twin may be stillborn. :(

If they are fraternal, yes you can actually misscarry one....if they are identical...yes, maybe not miscarry one, but one might pass away, and then other might still be growing and be alive...and then deliver them both at the same time.
