I thought that, too, as soon as I heard she was at the protests yesterday. There are a lot of anti-Iraqi war folks that still have bitter memories of her involvement in anti-Vietnam protests. I doubt she did the protesters a service by showing up.

BTW, to "RoseWithin" I spent 23 years in the AF and actually worked with POWs returning from Vietnam. THEY hated Hanoi Jane and told me how the Viet Cong often used her words to break their morale while in the camps. So don't preach to me about how the government set her up.

I too lump her right in there with Sheehan. IF the rally had any credibility to anyone, it was all lost with that little duo.
I mean who in their right mind would put her in front of a microphone to speak on their behalf? Well except maybe some of the people who are answering here tonight...think they might be a little young and uninformed. Especially the "set up" remark.
I lived it and I remember. Never has there been a person who incited such hatred. What was SHE thinking...oh you know she apologized for her actions during the Vietnam war...and we now see how much that apology meant to her..about as much as it did to the veterans of that war.

Are you suggesting that it ever HAD credibility?

The only way to have peace is to surrender, and that will mean surrendering everything that we are to some world body like the UN. Then, all the Islamic states that think there's supposed to be a world caliphate will take over.

We aren't ever going to get peace by not bathing and yelling stupid things in the direction of the Capitol. They're just embarrassing, yet CNN dutifully reports on them as if they're actually feeding the starving masses or something.

It makes no sense why you would put someone that sided with communists during Vietnam as a spokesperson for anything military related!

Is this meant to be a slap in the face to all men and women in the Military???

I certainly take it as that and being in the Army I have no tolerance for people like her!

Most of you probably are not old enough to really know what took place in Viet Nam.

By the way, the government set Jane up... they try to leave that out of the history stories. How many of you, who putting her down, are too cowardly to get in a uniform, and hump a 70 pound ruck on your back in the war? How many of you?
