i am dealing with stearns county on a chips case and there have been alot of things done out of character by the social worker, guardian of litem, attorneys assigned to the father and the attorney which represents the county. Such as results of UA's to people other then the county without consent from the father or the mother of the children involved. Stearns county and Sartell Polices departments tactics and procedures to obtain my children are not justifiable. We feel that our case should be dropped and children returned because of neglect on the counties/police depts part. We have done what they asked and then some. They have asked my children to lie to us and others concerning them. Where do we go to seek honest help with this matter, and what do we do to proceed further to see that this wrong of theirs is justified and made right for out childrens sake. It is harmful for them in several ways due to lack of morals on their part. Thank you for your time. Shelly (Loehrer) Steven and Lindsey Steven (good parents that were set up wrongfully. Ours kids need us as bad as we need them. Please I have no where to turn about this that I can trust. As you know that chips cases are very hard to proceed legal action against. We have tried with several attorneys. There has got to be something we overlooked that could make this right in the eyes of the court and god. Thank you again.

Where is Stearns County? Is there a law school near by? Most Law schools have free clinics which can be helpful. Also as strange as it sounds try the local media, if you can get your story to them first that may be helpful down the road. Good Luck

I understand what your going thur. I don't know the answers but I can tell you a little of what I've been thur since my daughter lost her three children. I am trying to adopt my grandson since this happened, and I can't get a lawyer to represent me, so I'm faced with representing my own self in a court of law. I have been falsely accused by them on three different times and each time was cleared but they still won't give me my grandson. First they told me it was because I owned a bar that I couldn't have him, so I sold the bar and took a big loss,still today I don't have my grandson. Hopefully next month he can come home, where he belongs. I can understand about there lack of morals. Just remember to keep faith that it will workout. Research on the Internet about the laws pertaining to your case so that you will at least understand what they're saying. Maybe take it to the newspapers and have a story hit the front page about the injustice done to yous. Have those people names and departments on the front page, maybe offer to have others come forward with there story about injustice done to them by the departments to hit the papers. When others see what they done it could help your case. Think about how many people will be calling them complain about the injustice done to yous. Make sure what you put in the newspaper is facts. There is usually a free lawyer in a court house, but if you say the court is screwing you over, maybe you shouldnt go there. You can try going to law offices in your area and ask advice. some will be nice and do it for free. there is always something that can be done. there are always loopholes you can find. just keep trying and keep your head up. things will come through. good luck! =)
