Are they preaching lossing is our only option after we won the war? Just like after Tet that idiot reporter put the violence on TV we know war is hell, but seeing it daily makes life hell. Anyway the TET offensive was a 4 or 5 year build up and we did hold them, but we retreated because the left and the press just as today kept insulting US service men in the reporting of their deathes and broke our countires collective wills.

Is this what is happening in the USA again today, will we be hearing of another Traitor like Kerry Running for President with anti Iraqi War Slogans in 2020?

at this point the only thing I will fight for is me. I helped people and defended people all my kife and all it got me was hated by leftest whack jobs. If the war stops I predict the next attack to be a human attack 1 designed to take out as many lifes as possible. That means in a highly populated area which means a liberal area. To wit it will come back on them again not me in my lightly populated state. Also to fight for your country you most have a family "I do not have one of those" or have Respect from the Community "That is non-existant where I live" . People do however fear being hurt so respect comes at the cost of creating total fear. This is not the christian type of behaivor that I want to live by nor is it menatlly healthy.

Lets put it this way I am armed every where I go because I expect to be attacked. The last guy got his leg broken the four at one time before that wnet to the hospital and 1 almost died, they haven't reoffened again.I will not hlp

That's right, blame the media. Because it was the media who decided to prematurely abandon Afghanistan and invade Iraq, based on the dual fictions that they were stockpiling WMDs and supporting Al Qaeda.

Wait a minute, that wasn't the media at all... it was The Decider!

Please remember that in a representative democracy like the United States, people are entitled to their opinions. The system that requires absolute loyalty to the state is fascism.

You poor misinformed soul. It was Republican President George W. Bush who started the war in Iraq. It was the Republican Neo-Conservative Congresses that supported his war. It is the Democrats who are calling attention to the idiocy of it all and who are bringing out the truth of the matter. We cannot continue to waste our treasury on a war we will not win and should not have been in the first place. Senator Kerry, distinguished Senator from Massachusettes is in no way a traitor.

I find it amusing that when neocons and their supporters find people who disagree with them they accuse them of being some how unpatriotic or a traitor. If you are familiar with Sen. Joseph McCarthy (R) Wisconsin in the late 1940's where he had hearings accusing everyone and anyone of being a Communist you can see how stupid it is.

I grew up in the Vietnam era. I served in the army at that time. While I opposed the war I, as a soldier, did as I was told. Many of our brave men and women in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere are doing as they are told too. Senator Kerry was in Vietnam and he learned to appreciate the mess we were in over there. We have a mess in Iraq as well and Senator Kerry along with others do not want to see a repeat of what we had in Vietnam.

If we can we should try to win the war we had no business starting in the first place but if the Malaki government in Iraq doesn't do their part we need to stop allowing our people to be killed and bring them home. If that is interpreted as losing, so be it. We cannot allow this to continue. The only war in US History lasting longer is Vietnam. Our own civil war was only 4 years. The world wars were 3 to 4 years. This one if you count starting with 9/11 as Bush would want us to it is too long. Even invasion in 03 until now was no slam dunk but got us into a quagmire we have no exit strategy or actual plan for fighting.

There are those who agree with the narrow neocon viewpoint but do not ever expect those people to be any less patriotic than the neocons. We are all loyal Americans that just have a different point of view.

there became no intelligence enthusiastic about going into Iraq. it is being fought in a lot the same way as Viet Nam and with the same outcomes. Its already lasted longer than i imagine.Bush concept it ought to. convinced regrettably it has grow to be very such as Viet Nam,an unwinnable ,unpopular conflict and an go out approach must be formulated and under no circumstances only Bush's go out in 2008. My husband became a POW in Cambodia in the course of the conflict in Viet Nam for 15 lengthy months do not you dare say it became "torn" down through hippies and liberals, you have not any concept what authentic conflict is,in the experience that your so damn gungho them get you azz to Iraq they go with you.you're the single it is no longer helping your usa and also you're the single which could be charged with treason.you're ignorant and recognize no longer some thing about conflict.

That's for sure .Treason for the party is just another day in the life for the radical left and the biased drive-by media . Knowing he could not survive another run for the presidency , John Kerry took his treason road show to Europe where he is calling the U.S. A pariah to the world- while our soldiers dodge bullets in the name of freedom . The drive-by media has been without conscience in it's thirst for blood and it's quest to give aid & comfort to the enemy- glorifying every treasonous word to come from the mouths of the likes of John Kerry ; Ted Kennedy and Hillary rob'em Clinton; and glorifying statements from terrorists every time one grunts . When will people pay attention to this instead of paroting what these radical traitors keep pushing ?

In all honesty -- WMD or not, Saddam needed to be dealt with because he, and others like him, were/are a threat to humanity. They've killed thousands of innocent people and have a pure hatred for the USA, so that endangers us and our children. We should have caught BinLaden when we had the chance - and we've had many chances, but we'd much rather hug and love, kiss and make up... You cant do that if one side doesnt agree.

I get so sick of the Bush bashing, yes he has made mistakes, but had BinLaden been taken care of when we had the chance (yes, he was still a threat back then), we might not be were we are now... The blame goes both places, not on one mans shoulders.

People want their freedom but they dont realize that they wont have it if we dont defend it and fight for it! People should support our military and our leaders, it makes us look very weak when our country turns on itself like it has in the past few years. If you dont like Bush, then get out there and VOTE! It was the majority that put him in back in office, you should think about that as you insult him...

Its a mess over there but does it make it better to Bush bash over here and mud sling against rival political parties? No! It only stirs more anger between people and I think we can all agree by the mess over there --> Anger is NOT what we need to be mixing.

The problem is Bush is a trigger happy Republican that started this war. Obviously he had no well thought-out plan after an attack.

REMEMBER he said he will "try every means possible to avoid a war". He blatantly said that on national TV. Well, in 2 days the war started. Hardly trying "EVERY means". He planned this attack well ahead of time, but didn't plan anything for after the attack.

I don't trust the republicans anymore. Almost 8 years of it and nothing spetacular. Any change is good I hope, even if it means the Democrats have to clean up the mess.

In the meantime, our soldiers are in the middle of this. I give them all of my respect. They are doing what they are supposed to do. And a good job at it too. Much of my family is military involved. It hits home a lot.

We lost Viet Nam because for the same reason we will lose this war, it is a civil war. We never should have gone into Iraq when the real dangers came from (and still do) Afghanistan. Iraq was a buffer against Iran and with this war we have opened the door to Iran's extremists. We only made the Middle East worse.

By going to war in Iraq we have ensured Muslim Extremism against us!
Wouldn't you stand up and fight if China decided to invade the US?

To The Wraith of God is Coming: How terribly sad something or many somethings in your life have made you feel this way!
I hope to believe that if we were in fact ever attacked by a foreign country that wished to rule us (much like we are doing in the Middle East) every American would stand up and fight back!
The really difficult part of all of this for me is the president and his administration continue to pursue their goals even at the disagreement of the majority of Americans citizens and politicians! Whether people want to admit it or not we HAVE become an International Pariah because we can't even control all of the United States problems and yet we try to tell the rest of the world how to be!
Something must be done to stop it!
I wish you happiness and I hope your community becomes more cohesive to strengthen our nation!
Peace!

Maybe. The Democrats have yet to make a hard stance on what they will do in the war. I hope they provide greater oversight and offer constructive solutions instead of just backing out, although leaving Iraq was the primary means of getting into office. The next few months will be very telling...

You hit it right on!! The liberals/Democrats are doing just that along with the liberal media and if we do go down it won't be to what we did with Vietnam, we'll be doing the bowing down 5 times a day to pray to a Muslim God! These people have done everything they can to destroy the morale instead of building up support and a united front. Look, they even managed to bring back Hanoi Jane again, I was surprised not to see Kerry standing next to her!

It strikes me that blaming the media for exposing the Vietnam War for what it was is like blaming the Democrats for George Bush's incompetence. The media didn't stage the violence, they just reported on it. I'm old enough to remember Vietnam very well. We didn't win in Vietnam, and we aren't winning now. That isn't the media's fault and it sure isn't the Democrat's fault. The media didn't start this mess of a war and neither did the Democrats. The Democrats, along with the Republicans, handed George Bush a blank check, in more than one way - don't blame them for what he decided to do with that check and that power. Part of what we know is that Bush will leave this mess to be dealt with by the next President, hopefully a Democratic President. I wish them the best of luck for all of our sakes.
