why dont stores like Best Buy and Circuit City sell new release Blu Ray movies?

Most stores no carry both Blu Ray and HD movies out already. Movie companies are split on which one they will go with, but luckily there are now dvd players that will play both formats, so you don't have to have to separate players and they will upconvert your old dvds to near hd quality.

not all movie companies are going to make blu ray cause its crap technology and it is going to fail just like laser disc did.

because there isn't a market for them yet
