Forgivable???? Who's doing the blaming? I suggest that anyone who says "unforgivable" take a close look at themselves...they may not like what they find.
Adultery is a somewhat jaded term. Fidelity proves nothing...fidelity without love is meaningless, adultery does NOT deny love.

What makes adultery overwhelming that you can't forgive. OF COURSE it's FORGIVABLE. Don't be selfish. There's a saying,it's better to give than to receive. Now see the difference!

My question would be "Forgivable By whom?". All sin, except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, rejection of His work in you life, are forgivable by God. As far as forgiveness by the other person, that would be on an individual basis, but is possible. What tends to be hard is forgetting what happened.

Oh, it's absolutely forgivable. IF the person repents (recognizes the sin, admits it, and stops committing it) and sincerely asks Jesus to forgive him/her, He will do it--with great gladness!
As far as human forgiveness is concerned, we *should* forgive everyone, since we ourselves are all sinners too. But we don't always do that, do we? Isn't it strange that God is often more willing to forgive a repentant sinner than we humans are?

Adultery is wrong, why step out on your husband/wife it doesn't make sense to me, if you're not happy get a divorce and be done with it. it's unforgivable! My son's wife committed Adultery 8 months into their marriage, tore my son apart. His 3 year old told on her.

It is Unforgivable. You waste so much of you life on someone that only took the relationship as a support tool for them self. And when they burn you out they move on to another person that will let them slide on selfish mistakes. But you have to forgive cause God says so but not be a fool and let the person back into your life

There are so many sides to this. I would think each case would have a different answer. Serial adultery is unforgivable.
