I don't think it is dorky. If other people do, who cares? I'm 25 now and now, all the "dorks" from grade school are bosses and are successful and a lot of the "cool" kids are losers and work for the nerds.
I think that's an awesome accomplishment. Keep up the great work and get into a good college. If anyone gives you crap about it, just tell them you aren't interested in being a loser later on in life, so you are working on being successful now.

Definitely not! If you like math, you might want to check out the Mathematical Association of America. This organization has publications that an advanced high school student can read- and you will be there, too, very soon. In our high-tech world, mathematics is needed, and geing good at it is a major plus.
When I was in school, I loved mathematics, and entered competitions all the time, too. I never worried agout who thought it nerdy, because many of those people were trying to look dumb to impress their friends- and I viewed that as really uncool. Math is fun!

Absolutely not dorky. The ones who used to call me dork and book worm and worse names now work for me and call me sir. My income last year was 2.975 million and the highest paid person who made fun of me made $58,975.34 last year Who is the dork and who is the guy who made his dreams come true. Next month I am going to sell out and take my beautiful bride on a vacation that will last almost 5 years and we will take a cruse that circles the globe. and touches every major country that has a sea port.
