Yes. Although what they are doing is illegal the software should be fine. It's what is called OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) so doesn't come in the nice shiny retail box.

It's basically made available for sale to people who build systems at a knock down price, however they aren't supposed to sell it on and it should only be shipped with a new PC.

However it will work fine on a system already in use.

yes,but like the previous answers i would prefer it boxed or in a packaged and sealed pack
however i find it best to buy you anti-virus direct from the software manufacturers, and then just buy a new key every year..much easier and safer
i would have to say..mcafee a/v +firewall for £2-49 is a bit on the cheap side.,no vendor or on-line retailer worth his salt would sell this software at that price, you will find it probally either a pirated copy or its illegal in the sense its fallen of the back of a lorry
if you look about, you can purchase norton and mcafee products like anti-virus and spyware protection for around £20,this is more like the price you should pay
if its too good to be true...it probally is
dont get ripped off
good luck

Whichever you pick I do not suggest you get Norton as it is slow, consistently updating, consumes quite a few ram and storage space and if you want to eliminate of it, it's extremely cussed. I might recommend these two: McAfee - while you do ought to pay for it, it is an potent program. AVG - exceptional free antivirus application, there is additionally yet another version which you can pay for which comprises more facets (I know it is robust as it used within the school at which i am studying ICT atm) :). Hope this helps :)

No I wouldn't. It sounds unclear what you'll actually be getting for your hard-earned money. If you get copied software you'll put yourself at risk from 1. illegal activity and 2. infection from unknown attacts.

I also do not like Mcaffee antivirus or firewall.

I use AVG antivirus and ZoneAlarm Firewall. Both highly rated consistently in leading UK pc mags etc. I've found them to be better than norton and mcaffee. And you save more money for other stuff. Treat yourself with the money that you'll save.

Good luck

Whichever you pick i do no longer propose you get Norton because it really is sluggish, always updating, consumes a tremendous variety of ram and area for storing and in case you pick to get rid of of it, it really is vitally obdurate. i might want to point those 2: McAfee - even as you do ought to pay for it, it really is an powerful application. AVG - tremendous free antivirus application, there is also yet another version that you will be able to pay for which consists of more effective effective factors (i understand it really is effective because it used interior the faculty at which i'm interpreting ICT atm) :). wish this permits :)

i would buy it in the shops because £2.50 is very cheap and sounds too good to be true. It's probaly a copy or has something wrong with it to be that cheap or maybe it was nicked. I would look out for special offers in the shops.

No, why buy and why take the risk? Just download (free) either AVG or Avast. Excellent programs.

PS Don't have two a/v's running at the same time, they'll fight!
