Gears of War, Viva Pinata, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Rockstar Table Tennis, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, PGR, and Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter seem to the best. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is cool, too.

RPG- Oblivion
Shooter- Gears of War, Call of Duty 2 or 3, Prey
Racing- NFS carbon
Action- Dead Rising, Splinter Cell Double Agent
Sandbox- Saints Row, (upcoming Crackdown is gunna be great)
Fighting- DOA 4, Smackdown vs Raw 07

For RPG's Oblivion is probably the best game available, but is VERY long (couple hundred hours of gameplay if you want to finish all the quests).
For 1st Person Shooters, I've heard nothing but great things for Gears of War.
Racing, go for Need for Speed: Most Wanted. NFS: Carbon is okay, but waaaay too short. (Took me at least 6 weeks to beat MW, but I had Carbon beat in 3 days.)

Depends on what kinda games you like. My fiancee loves Gears of War, and it's pretty fun to watch, if you like blood and gore.
