Okay so I got my belly button pierced about less than a week ago and when I clean it, the top where the barbell went through is like red and I'm wondering if it's infected.

It's not infected unless it's swollen and there's pus coming out of it. A little bit of red is normal, so don't worry. Make sure to clean it 1-2 times a day (there is such a thing as over cleaning, btw) and it should heal up well. Just be patient 'cause it takes up to 6 months to heal.
And this might be super obvious, but DON'T touch with dirty hands. lots of bacteria...

I agree with others' comments, it will be red for a while. Clean it just twice a day with soap and water. If there is no pus it's probably not infected, just still healing.
However, if you do have some pus or drainage, it could be infected OR it could be an allergic reaction to the metal. Allergic reactions in peircings behave the same way as an infection (and can turn into infections). If you think it's infected, go to the doctor, who will probably give you an antibiotic, and make sure the barbell you have is titanium since that's the metal least likely to give you an allergic reaction.

i would say yes red means infection so you need to get that cleaned up now or you might as welll take it out a few choices soak in sea seasalts dry with cotton wool
spary with ear antiseptic spray
clean with metho this i recomend it will hurt like hell but will worth it make sure it is dried after showereing bathing when you hop out dry properly any moisture will create a infection if all else fails go to a dr he/she can give you antiboidics that will clear it up good luck let us know how you went >.<

Your going to be fine, just like the others said, keep it clean. Not being mean, but why did you get it done in the first place? Do you not find it cliche. Tattoos above the crack, BB piercing, tongue piercing. Original? I don't think so. 1995 called and wants their fads back. Good Luck!

Probably not, it's just still red from being pierced. Just make sure to clean it. I cleaned it in the shower with antibacterial soap. It took about 2 months for mine to completely heal.

its gonna be red and might possibly leak some puss since you just got it pierced. just keep it clean with anti bacterial soap. and dont play with it or it will get infected.

the person who pierced u used a dirty needle so the odds r now that uve got aids, its ok it happened 2 me and only my leg fell off so it wont be tht bigger a deal. gd luck belly button bars are very glorious.
