I'm embracing mine..... slowly..... I'm a damn yankee who has been in the south tooooo many years to retain my yankee-ness... Sad but true...
I love a good thick accent, as long as there's nothing else to it... Southern kids with thick accents are the cutest - especially if it includes "ma'am" and "sir"!
An aussie accent is my fav though!!!

Depends on if it is an educated southern accent or Larry the Cable Guy accent. I can't stand the redneck southern accent.

I don't like it or hate it...I just think it sounds kinda weird because I'm a New Yorker so...lol it does sound pretty funny.
