I had a couple of neighbor kids that use to come over all the time and ask for treats. Just tell them you don't have any. If it becomes a major problem, talk to their parents about it.

Yea, but i'm generally really, super mean to kids so, they'd probably only come around once.
After i scared them sh*tless the first time, they would probably not ever come to my door again... but then again, kids ARE really dumb, especailly the little ones, so they might come around again... don't worry, in THAT case, i'd find their favorite toy, which they would have left in my front yard, AGAIN, then i'd place it beneath my car tire and roll over it, four, five times, just to make sure the kids saw it...there. that should take care of those pesky lil' brats...!

Yes and no.
I would go over tot he neighbor and advise them that the children are being annoying.
If they failed to respond tot he request to stop, I would be forced to use a water gun to hose them down.
