I'm not sure he ever gained any creditability. I'm not even sure why Bush chose Cheney in the first place as his VP. Maybe the Bush family owed him a favor or needed to keep his mouth shut.

But yes, he and George W. Bush should resign from the elected offices they have so shamelessly exploited.

Certainly none with me. I can't believe America elected him, much less re-elected him. How could we put back into power the criminals who were thrown out with Nixon. Practically the whole current monarchy are throwbacks to this disgraced President's administration. I personally think the "Scooter" Libbey trial will be his undoing. Although I'm sure a Presidential Pardon will follow shortly thereafter.

He is not only creditable, he's also credible.

I see questions like this, and am curious if, other than irrational hatred, there exists any single fact or evidence that supports this belief that he is somehow not creditable or credible.

As for the quip about Halliburton, why should a politician NOT be a productive member of society? Should they all be Kennedys, Rockefellers, Gores and Pelosis - children of the rich & powerful who never had to work?
