I live in Montana, and it's very cold here, and all of a sudden my 98 concorde started to make a squealing noise when I hit the gas, and I'm concerned. Any idea what it could be? It seems to lessen a little bit when the car is warmed up, but doesn't totally go away.

I know enough about cars to get me by.. so this is just a suggestion...but maybe it's your belts. If you spray a little lubricant on them, it should make them quiet down. I'm from SD, and also lived in Montana for awhile, so I know you mean about the cold. :)

I would say its a belt in the car somewhere because your in cold weather it would be louder n when your car warms up it will go away but belts are not expensive at all

what you might try doing is either going to www.autozone.com and creating a proflie of your car and it's issues. Or you could stop by your local autozone and /or mechanic for advise and a diagnostic
