I was molested over a period of years and never said anything because I was threatened not to. 28 years later, I finally decided I had to take action. Last year, I filed charges against my abuser, and it goes to trial this year. It is the hardest thing I ever had to do, but even harder was suffering in silence for so many years. If someone is doing something that makes you uncomfortable tell them to flat out STOP. If it is someone who has some kind of power over you, tell an authority or parent or someone about it. Now, I stand up for myself whenever I need to. I wont be intimidated again-ever.
