swimming is an exercise where you dont need to worry about injury, that way it is better than jogging. Free style and butterfly are great workouts. The only thing to worry is the hygiene in the swimming pool.

walk really fast and alternate with a 45 second sprint every 2-3 minutes. That will keep the heart pumping without the constant strain on the knees.

Not at all.All that matter is spending calories and balancing calorie input versus calorie output. Therefore, skipping jogging and taking up tennis is perfectly alright but sufficient time must be alloted for tennis equivalent to the time taken for jogging.
calorie intake and expenditure are to be balanced .

Tennis is good as it works out more muscles in your body and its good as its competative and makes you work a little bit harder, but jogging is stil good, you don't have to give it up, you could still take a jog occasionally, no harm in doing both.

Jogging is one type of cardio.
You can also do trademill, staircase, rowing or biking.

Anyway if you want to do tennis, well and good.
You may continue jogging or leave depending on your workout in tennis.
