BULLSHIT!!!
i have a tata indica having a mileage of 14 kmpl with a reading of 257632 km. the engine's pretty much the same in both cars, only the capacity might be reduced a bit
it really depends on how you drive & whether you take care of your car. if you take it for regular servicing/cleaning & change the oils periodically, the engine wont give you trouble for a long time, except where there is an undetected manufacturing defect.whereas if you dont do servising, engine's gonna conk out after 9000-12000 km

This does not sound logical. Any modern engine is designed for long haulage without much maintenance. There is no reason to believe that the Tata Indica Turbo is any different. Tata Indica owners typically use their cars for long distances and I have never heard anyone complaining so.

If you are planning to buy it, consider waiting for the CRDi Turbo engine. Its just around the corner!
