if you'd really like the job, but can't take cause you already took another job.
...and if you reject a good job offer, will the company cross you out from the "potential employees" list forever? and ignore you if you apply later on?

If you send Human Resources of that company a thank you card, telling them something to the effect of "Thank you for considering my application and taking the time to talk with me," and then telling them honestly that you took a sooner offer then you leave a better taste in their mouth than just refusing over the phone or not responding at all.
I had that happen, and a few months later got a better job offer from the same company I'd had to turn down, which company I'm now working for!

Depends on the company you applied to. I would just say Sorry you have found employment but thankyou for the opportunity. You just have to hope they keep your application on file. If not, and this job doesn't work out...you can always call to see if that company has any openings again. They may not want t ohire you if you find a job then a few months later apply to them again..they will think you don't want something permanent*

here is where honesty is one of the better policies....just tell the other job that you accepted a job just before they contacted you and you would love to work for them but you have an obligation.

the y will see you as an honest and decent person....if it was me and you came back next month or next year saying it didn;t work out I would hire you

seriously, most companies understand this type of thing happens all the time. and if it is a really large company it wouldn't matter to them at all...you are just a number or a warm body when they have a position to fill.

so...go in there and be honest. it will not hurt you in this situation

in life best things to do is tell the truth. its simple and nevers hurts for long... if u want to deny a job offer, tell them unfortunately you decided and commited your self to another job, and your professionalism dont allow you to say no after you have said yes. agree to the fact that the job they have offered is better and add a note is stating if you for some reason dont adapt to the new job you will let them know.

Never tell the other company that you accepted another offer. It will detrimental to your potential future opportunities with that company. Simply give a vague description of "a lot of difficulties that are obstructing me from taking a job at this point in my life have come to rise" and "I apologetically decline your offer, but thank you for the opportunity"
