1. Providing for national defense-bad. Too busy providing an USA imperialistic "capitalistic democracy". Our internal security is suffering greatly because of it.
2.They try but the divisions are too blatant for a thoughtful person to ignore.
3. Pretty good...they feed us dumbed -down news to help us feel more helpless and less proactive.
4. Again, they try, but we all know it's how much money or celebrity you have that keeps you off death row.
5.They try...but see above.

Take two women who are in their early twenties, one white, one black, both single, both with two small kids, both didn't complete high school, both have no real skills, both live in a predominantly poor neighborhood, both can't make a living...now send them to welfare and watch to see who gets a better stipend!

Since you only give a choice of good or bad, and no gray area in between the two, I would have to say "G" on all of them. There is room for improvement on all of them, but not so much as to be called bad as a whole.
