Been a member of ABATE of Pa. since 1987. It took us nearly 35yrs., but we finally got the mandatory helmet law dropped & now, of course, they are trying to re-introduce it. We got the state to finally pay a bit more attention to mc riders & now it's actually a crime punishable by prison time to kill a biker with your car.
It's a never ending struggle to keep our rights & posibly expand them, but our enemies are rich & in powerful positions. It can be done by average riders, but you have to have dedicated people with thick skins.

You're absolutely right. We have to keep a look out all the time for those who would like to get rid of all our bikes. ABATE and AMA are two organizations that do a good job keeping up on all the issues and pending legislation throughout the country. I've been a member of the AMA for nearly 30 years and I'm a life member. Anyone who rides a bike should be totally behind these groups and be willing to supply them financial support and your time if necessary. If we don't, who will?

Along with Abate, join the AMA (American Motorcyclist Association). The AMA has a legislative department. They are constantly fighting for your "right to ride" for all motorcyclists. Every motorcyclist should be an AMA member.

RIGHT ON! I'm a AMA member and have been for years. I first was forced to join the AMA to race in one of their events and I didnt realize all the benefits that come with membership....that was almost 10 years ago and I have been a proud member ever since. If you ride ANY type of motorcycle do yourself and your fellow 2 wheelers a favor and join..they are our voice for legislation.

Obviously you conceal latent violent attributes.
You would be a good guest on Dr Phil...

I think everyone who enjoys cycles keep an ear to the rails on how the Gov't is anti motorcycle due to the safety concerns but geez you'll be in a straight jacket soon.

Of course. Why do you think this only pertains to motorcycles? Look around you.
