Firefights all over central Baghdad and beond. Militias, insurgents, Islamic radicals.....all fighting each other and the Americans. People dying everyday, both innocents and U.S. troops. American ships on their way to the Gulf. Some already there.Bush says the 21,000+ troops will be there by early April.
But, the "surge'" has already begun hasn't it.

No, it was just a battle fought over the weekend. As far as Navy vessels in the region, we've slowly been sending more and more ships over there. Not always to contribute to Iraq, the region where they are is infested with pirates. Our Navy often escorts ships in the region.
