When you lose a mom and dad and your only sibling my brother...of course its a natural thing to touch them and kiss them ......believe me it is a sad situation but it's a part of loving and losing and working in a morgue is no comparison these are strangers ..........so when you say touching a dead person my family was my life and therefore touching is said with respect ...To Touch is to feel the loss that consumes you luv kara

nope, never even seen a dead person, ever in my life, nor do I plan to. I have lost both of my parents and never went to the funerals. I will only attend one funeral and that will be my own. I don't think I could ever get over seeing a dead person, let alone touching one.

Yes, many times. You really don't have any appreciation for the term "dead weight" until you have to pick up a dead person. It really is different than picking up a live person.

I work with dead people on occasion, and have indeed touched some of them, since it is kinda hard to avoid touching them when you are moving them around. I look at it as part of my training, in case the Zombie Apocalypse ever does come.

In my heritage it's customary to send them home with a kiss on forehead or cheek! So, not only have I touched dead people, but i've kissed them as well!

Yes, while they were in the casket. Brrrrrr. I will never ever do that again. They were so cold and hard, the feeling never left me. I would much rather remember them warm and kind.
