For all of Clinton's personal faults, there were quite a few things that he did right during his eight years in office - even when Congress was controlled by the opposite party. The reason that such conservatives focus on Clinton's personal life is because its the only thing that they can attack Clinton on.

I don't think it's just Conservatives who are obsessed as you call it. I constantly see Democrats posting about Clinton and how his action were less heinous than Mr. Bush's. The fact that Mr. Bush has not been charged with any crimes always seems to elude their notice though. The problem with this issue is amply demonstrated by yourself by misrepresenting what is actually being said. The vast majority of conservatives do not care who Clinton had sex with, but they have a real problem with the fact that he lied about it under oath. Perjury is a crime and a major ethical issue for a President. Liberals refuse to acknowledge the obvious, but have no problem convicting the current president without benefit of proper charges being levied. In short neither side is letting the Clinton issue die. Conservatives are still trying to make a point and Liberals are still trying to deny the truth of that point. Therefore the debate rages on.

I am rational and I could care less what Bill has sex with now. When he was in office it could very easily have created huge problems because it put him in the position to be blackmailed and I would bet that you are smart enough to see the problem with that. The issue of he sexual encounters generally comes up when the bashing of republicans starts and it is basically just a reminder to sweep your own front step type thing. I don't know if I qualify as a neocon but there is my .02.
Oh BTW Clinton supporters that say this is all we none Clinton fans can attack you are mistaken. Clinton has a great record of taking no actions by doing this he avoided taking wrong actions but he helped the US very little.

It makes for a nice diversion to take away attention from there presidents many impeachable offenses. It is hoped that if they put up enough smoke screens that Bush will live out his term without an impeachment trial. The conservatives never like to deal with reality especially when it shows how wrong there thinking is. So instead of scrapping there old long cherished ideas and start new they cling to the past treat it like it's news and then hope the world changes again in there favor.

Sorry...I am not a rational conservative...BUT...seems like a lot of "conservatives" affiliate themselves with either Southern Baptists or evangelicals and everyone knows how repression of sexual impulses often turns into misdirected projection of those same impulses. Thus, the "religious right" redirects their repressed sexual energy and turns it into "righteous aggression" (killing, bombing, war, the death penalty) against those that have become their latest scapegoat. Bill Clinton is a very charismatic guy and he basically "got away with it". "It" being adultery...the one BIG SIN that everyone WANTS to commit but often does it in secret. Bill would be re-elected today if possible and everyone, even the "rational conservatives" are aware and scared of that fact.

ALL conservatives are rational, being rational will eventually make you a conservative. We are not "obsessed" with BC's sex life, it is you liberals who keep bringing it up. We am much more concerned with the Clinton's obsession with setting up an imperial dynasty in the USA with themselves as emperors, or co-emporers or whatever. We are much more concerned with BC's complete lack of regard for the law when it comes to accepting illegal graft, or allowing enemies of the US to get strategic technology, or his bombing of an aspirin factory in Afghanistan to divert attention from his indescretions.
At the bottom of all this, a man who cheats on his wife, is likely to cheat on his nation as well.

Only conservatives are concerned by such a thing as "morals". If Hillary is elected, not only will she be the first woman president, but also will be the first woman to become president after her husband had sex with an intern in the Oval Office.

I am not a conservative who still talks about "Bill Clinton and his sex life", but I can tell you that it had very little to do with his sex life or even adultery. The outrage for me came from the fact that a sitting President perjured himself (a felony) in front of a grand jury. According to the Constitution, that is an impeachable offense. He was impeached and disbarred. Justice was served and for me, that was the end of it.

It's because he made such a mockery of the presidency with his behavior and lied under oath. And Hillary standing by her man like Tammy Wynette is quite humorous. The stigma of that whole sordid affair is hard to get rid of.

It happened much more recently that Bush's last time drinking or his alleged AWOL (a hoax and liberal lie), but that doesn't prevent you people from bringing those things up.
And, actually, it's YOU people who bring up Clinton's sex life by your idiot references to his impeachment as being "for sex", and always bringing up how "great" a president he was (he wasn't, actually, but to know that, you need to have a grasp on reality).
We bring it up as a constant reminder to ourselves that you people are the most clueless partisan wankers in the world.
