In a sense, yes. A person is predisposed to the decisions they make based on their heredity and environmental experiences, plus the chains of events that led up to each moment. i.e., I am here answering this question instead of any number of other things, and as more time passes, that decision will eventually have made a major impact on my life path, as well as the life path of many others (if not the entire world). It's hard to see where "free will(y)" comes into play.

I believe in fate and destiny. Fate however is like a guide, a muse, an angel on your shoulder nudging you on which way you "should" go. So in essence fate is walking on this path called life with you and destiny is just that your final destination where you are to ultimately end up. But if you don't listen to that angel, or nudge of "fate" if you will, you make a choice that will alterh your destiny.

No, not at all.
fate is defined as: The supposed force, principle, or power that predetermines events.
destiny as : The inevitable or necessary fate to which a particular person or thing is destined.
You determine the path of your own life. Choice is just that.....the ability to determine what is for you. Whatever the reasons, whatever other forces come into play and you allow to influence your choice, its still just that...your choice.
By claiming that it was "fated" to happen that way...or it was your destiny that this happened, you are denying your responsibility in making the choices you did. Fate and destiny are the great scapegoats of those who refuse to take responsibility for their own actions.

We are all born with our own destiny. But fate is what gets us to our destiny. If we will follow our fate then our destiny will be achieved

Fate or destiny can never be defined exactly....they always swing between options having a little difference between them.
The way a person thinks or reacts to certain situations is due to his/her genes/hormones....it depends on the food he eats and the conditions in which he has been brought up.
A person who is fond of eating chilly food are seen to be more agile and get angry easily rather than those who are fond of eating sweet...there are many such aspects which define a persons behaviour.
Also the sun signs or astrological measurements also can describe a persons nature approximately.......as these things are predictable the selection of options by a person while reacting to a situation minimize....thus tending to a definite or approx FATE/Destiny.
so u can control your FATE by controlling ur own mind
If someone ridicules you; if you are a soft person you may take it easily and will forget it, but if you are a chilly eater you may get angry and start a fight over there.....the consequences are your FATE

I beleive the 2 are 1 in the same
Like my soulmate when we got together he said it was fate I said we where destined to meet....
God gave us free will to make choices and he looks for us to make the correct choices in his eyes....
Fate is when we are born
Destiny is when we die
We all live our lives our own way getting to know who we really are along the years...
Fate, destiny, love, life, hate, evil, good, bad...
They are all words what is their true meaning?

If you think about it, fate is the exact opposite of free will. If something is fated, then it will come to pass whether you want it to or not.
In that sense, I find it quite easy to cede that there are quite a few fated things. Nobody has the freedom to choose ANYTHING. So you might say that I'm fated to be drawn towards objects of mass when I'm near them (a.k.a. gravity) or that I'm fated to die if I stop eating and drinking. Nor are all these fates conditional. I was fated to be born as a biological entity.
I will not grant you, however, that I'm fated to die as one...

First I do not believe in believing. Experience supersedes belief.
No!... to 'fate/destiny'; ... this world is based on FREE CHOICE!

Yes - but it is we ourselves who make our own fate or destiny:. What other way could there be? - a ""God" who governs by preference or favour? Chance? - a nihilism of anything purposeful or meaningful in Existence?
There is no other option.

I believe God has a plan for everyone and in that sense you could say "destiny." But He gave us a free will and so sometimes our choices affect whether or not we fulfill His plan for our lives (which always brings forth abundant life), or whether we end up with a different outcome.
