There are several great movies...but some of my favorites are: The Guardian, The Queen, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Click.

My favorite movie of 2006 was Little Miss Sunshine and I really hope that the movie taks home best picture. The Departed was great, which is why I really want Scorsese to take home best director...finally. The Queen was also good which is why I am rooting for Mirren to win for best actress (she already won the Golden Globe and SAG for it). So she should be able to snag all three.

There are 2 questions here: which one do i think WILL win, and which movie do I think SHOULD win.
As for which movie should win, I'd go with The Departed the whole way...just absolutely amazing
as to what probably will win, I'm thinking it'll probably be Babel, just because of the Golden Globe win, but if not, then The Queen
I just hope Little Miss Sunshine doesn't win
one movie that got no best picture consideration at all that I think was extremely underrated and at least deserved to be considered was Blood Diamond

I thinkt he Departed will win. I did not see The Queen or Iwo Jima, but of the three I saw that was the best one.
I saw better movies this year though including Pan's Labyrinth and Little Children.

I really liked Babel. It made me think a lot about how everyone is connected in some way, and how our choices can effect people who we don't even know. Plus, it was a pleasure to look at Brad for a few hours :0)
