My kids and I enjoy listening to Bohemian Rhapsidy by Queen, but I'm not sure if that's the kind of song you are looking for.

I used to listen to Daydream Believer by the Monkees with my parents. Also, Don't Worry Be Happy by Bob Marley might be good.
Really though, classical music is perfect. It will heighten the kids' sense of rhythm and harmony just by listening to it, and there's no end to the sources of great music. Try Beethoven, Haydn, Tchaikovsky (serenade for strings is wonderful) for a start! Their music is often quick-paced and energetic, without lacking in the emotions department. Beethoven's string quartets are excellent -- try the ones from his middle years.
Good luck!

If you can get a copy of this old album, get the children's songs by Cheech Marin, I cannot recall the title, but there is a song on it called Cheech the School Bus Driver. Absolutely hilarious, and full of that innocent silly humor that kids and adults who arent fuddy-duddies like.

Classical Music.
Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms, Chopin, Barber...I could go on.
I would highly recommend Aaron Copland - his music tells a story. Appalachian Spring or Rodeo are great examples.

My son will be in user-friendly words 10 months previous yet he already has tremendous music flavor. No really, my treatment for determining to purchase him to end crying is to placed on some Jay Z or Public Enemy or in certain circumstances pink warm Chili Peppers. I exceptionally a lot placed my Ipod on shuffle and in many cases it does the trick.

Lisa Loeb and Elizabeth Mitchell did a childrens album a few years back called "Catch the Moon". I bought it on a whim for my niece who is two and I absolutley LOVE it. I will sometimes even listen to it without my niece. Its available on iTunes and through amazon.com.
It also comes with a wonderful book.

Classical music sounds good, but not the orchestra types, more like piano, violin, or guitar sonatas, or any sort of sonata... might i recomend Bach's cello suite 1 or Paganini's caprice 24, if you dont like classical you can always go for metal! like metallica, or helloween Salvation is a great song.
if all else fails go to The Beatles.
One of the best bands if I may...
