What would happen to you if I went back in time and killed your grandma?
Let me put it this way. I am sitting with you in restaurant right now having some drink and all of a sudden I told you I would get back to you in a few minutes and left to my time machine and went straight to your grandma’s school and killed her before she met your grandpa, so what would happen if I kept my promise and got back to finish my drink with you.
I don’t accept answers like you can’t and stuffs, this is IF

It would depend; in a 'type 1' universe there is only one time line and any change you make is reflected in later history. Paradoxes like this would be either impossible (in which case you might discover you're adopted and she wasn't your real grandmother after all), or you would continue to exist only because you stepped out of the time line (in which case you might cease to exist once you stepped back in); or possibly the time line would alter itself to 'patch' the change,; or you might get caught in an eternal causality loop which would tear a hole in the fabric of space-time. In other words, nobody really knows.

In a 'type 2' universe each change creates an alternate time line which follows from that change, so you would have effectively created a new reality in which your grandmother (and this her descendants) don't exist. In fact, some have theorized that there might be an alternate reality for every *possible* change or alteration, which would mean an infinite number of universes.

I think you didn't. In other words, whatever happened in the past, even if you cheated by visiting it in a time machine, has already happened. So if you shot my grandparents, I don't exist, and a bunch of stuff happened differently.

There's no characters fading from photographs. If you do manage to mess with the past, you'll find out you already did it. So it would turn out not to be so much fun after all. A bit like being invisible - you'd also be blind. Sucks.

Nah, in spite of the undeniable fact that i could probable attempt to get them from getting divorced. i think of that extremely screwed up 2 of their 3 babies; i'm only fortunate to be the son of the guy who grew to become out ok.

Well chances are I will never get born. And chances are you will get caught and killed by the neighbors.

Here is my question:

If you kill my Grandma and in process get killed yourself, what would happen to your furture Grandkids? :)

This is called the grandfather paradox.

In a single timeline scenario, it creates a paradox.

Relax! Your a little pushy thing. You can't go back in time to kill your grand mother, if you did, then you would never have been born meaning you couldn't have traveled back in time to kill her! (I think...)

you would possibly set off a chain of events that would surly affect weather or not you would even exist...therefore you'd only be hurting yourself..id of ceased to exist,so i wouldn't really care...hahaha

..Hypothetical question... Right.?...Does that mean I am not sitting there with you now.. BUMMER.. Hopefully my grand dad
woefully would replace her so I could still be sitting with you and you were never caught ,so you could be sitting there also.
Selfish of me but that is life.
