Do youthink that kids could be better learners than adults, but they are just considered too young to learn. Do u think that a 8 year old could learn Calculus just like a college student but people just don't teach it because they are too young?

The proportion of the amount of data that children up to age of 7 are learning compared to their previous knowledge (which is around zero) is almoust infinite.
Almost all little children are displaying the abilities of true genius, when they learn about the world.
But then society puts them into unflexible school programs and slowly dumbs them down to the acceptable level - becouse who needs geniuses ?
As to the calculus question - the answer is probably not.
Not becouse of child's lesser ability to learn, but becouse calculus courses are prepared assuming the student already knows a lots of other stuff.
However in any new field, which doesn't require heavy previous knowledgability (like computer games for instance) the child will be much quicker to learn than the adult.

A child is far more capable of learning, and I believe the reason is they do not have any preconceived ideas that they can not learn some thing. It is only when we as adults tell them they are to young to do some thing that we give the barriers, I would give you an example. I lived in a home where the language was Portuguese. The parents did not speak or understand English, they had a 6 year old daughter that was fluent in both English and Portuguese. She was the translator for the house hold. I asked her aunt why she was the only one who spoke English. Her parents were convinced that they couldn't learn English so they had friends family and the public school system teach their daughter so they would not be totally isolated They lived in Canada for 8 years and then returned to Portugal never having to learn the language. There are many instances of children on their own taking apart a piece of equipment just to so what made it go. the rule in our house was" you take it apart you have to put it back together my brother was the type of person that could take apart and repair any sort of mechanical equipment, and ended up writing a book on refrigeration .

As a child, I was unable to learn at the rate of expectation due to mental, environmental, physical and emotional disabilities.

I learned almost everything I now know. After the age of 18-20 years old and most of it was self taught, because I lacked the ability to be taught by people who did not understand how I needed to absorb information.

So I believe that the desire to learn or understand something, is ageless, timeless and is not subject unto any age specific limitations.

Children probably do learn faster... but not necessarily better than adults.

Most 8 year olds can't understand division let alone calculus. In other respects I think children are like a sponge in what they learn, such as behavior which they pick up from parents, which they do better and differently than adults.
