yes, now most rap follows the formula of the three Bs:
bragging
b!tches
bling
except for Mos Def, Outkast, and a few others

I do, as big of a fan as I am, it's just not the same! Whatever happened to real hip hoppers that love music? People like the firm biggie pac and big l? Now those are lyricists! I'm hoping someone will come along and bring real hip hop back. People like t.i. luda and jeezy are the only ones trying to breathe life back into hip hop. That's why we respect them.
OMG! The guy below couldn't be more right. When Kanye's album first came out I loved the guy!! I thought he was really gonna change the game! Then he turned into a grade a azzhole as soon as he got a little limelight! YUCK! It's sickening.
That's why I;m really getting into rappers like dead prez, talib kweli, nas, jay-z, common, will.i.am. they're the new face of hip hop in my eyes and deserve more credit. they can actually make a hit and still speak positively. Gotta admire that.

I FEEL THE SAME WAY.
These rappers played out all the things you mentioned but are still great
Jay Z, Lil wayne, TI and yung jeezy are taking the world by storm.
You should look into Papoose, Chamillionaire and J.R. writer from Dipset. They bring something new to the table, especially Papoose.

Yup; back in the day, Run DMC, and others like them were good; now, it just seems they can't make an album without all the songs calling women ho's, cussing every other word, and stuff like that. Sugarhill Gang, arguably the first rappers, made a rap called Rapper's Delight, that was awesome.

I agree with you...rap is dead
Even the most talented lyricist out there now, Eminem, is selling out. Kanye is a decent rapper but hes an awful human being, so I don't listen to him.
I do miss the old days of rap...my favorite now would probably be Talib Kweli

Yea, its all the same now. All about Women and Material Things.
So I really like Rock/HopHop (kinda rap) mix.
Ex: right now, im listneing to a song called "get back" by Ludacris and Sum41. i LUV it, and cant stop. And it has nothing to do w/ what everyone else is doing.
and as one song calls it, Hip hop is Dead...

most rappers only do it for the money nowadays. Back in the day, it was to spread a message.

both one in all you adult adult males did mad good. although the entire jim crow line, became distasteful, and only went somewhat to a concepts. Morbid drew me into his verse authentic speedy with the first few strains. then when I examine this one :" I’m gazing you crying your eyes out at this took tissue you should affix the Klan only to have a hood with you" i became bought. great things from both one in all you adult adult males, yet i imagine Morbid took this one.
