My parents are old! my dad is 39 and my mom is 38. I recently introduced them to the ipod, and they both are amused by it. Like little kids in a candy store. They constantly make me download music for them, even though i showed them a thousand times.
They are amazed what little simple things the computer can do..
I learn with computers every day at school, And i dont act like this!
I was going to upgrade their computer from windows xp to the new vista windows, that just came out! But i dont want to Shock them to much........ I Know you old folks are lost in this new generation, Thats mostly geared for the youth! But any advice on how i can keep them amused, instead of overwhelming them with
all this new world Technology???
Sorry But Nowhere Near UR Age!
Peace Out Old Dudes.
Thankxxxx!!

Your parents are anything but old. You`ve had a classroom to learn all the new technology they have had to learn on their own. They`ll probably surprise you with how well they do. If you want to hear about old I`m going to be 61 and I think I do quite well.

POPPYCOCK! Don't ever call me old kid. :-) Just let your parents do what they find fun. Just because you like gadgets and computers doesn't mean they do. Personally I'd rather be out in the sun riding my motorcycle then sitting inside behind a keyboard. Life's to short to waste it staring a pixels all day.
Don't upgrade your parents to Vista, not only will they be confused but they might not have the hardware to run it.

First of all 38-39 is NOT old. Second of all not I am 35 and know what an IPOD is and know how computers work. You need to grow up.

You need not be so arrogant, pard. I am 55, and still designing websites. Yer parents aren't old (they're *youngsters* relative to me!) They're perfectly capable of figuring out new technology, beyond just being "entertained" by it. In fact, many folks their age *built* the technology about which you're talking, believe it or not. It wasn't *built* by folks your age. So talk to your folks as peers, and give them a chance to understand the technology at (or maybe even above) your level, and you may be surprised.

Well I am not old , but maybe your parents are just playing that , because they dont want to out smart you , where you think you learn things on the computer , from older people.. Sounds like you have no respect to your elders , if my children which are your age talked to me that way I would smack them .
