There will always be something lingering. It will never go back to just "friends" or the normalcy you once had. The past doesn't erase itself, doll.

Absolutely! I was in a relationship (in love) with a man who I later felt as just a friend. We never really discussed being only friends, it just kind of happened. We stopped being sexually intimate and staying at each other's homes. Now, I go over to his place once in a while, and we speak on the phone all the time. Like I said, we never discussed this though. We are good friends and care a lot about one another's well being and friendship. It can work for you too. Good luck!

It's definitely possible, but sometimes you need to take a break from seeing each other for awhile so that those feelings have time to fade. I'm friends with the boy who took my virginity, we dated for 2 1/2 years and then we broke up and i started going out with another guy. After i started dating the second guy, the first guy wanted to get back together so I had to reject him. We didn't talk for a good five months but then we started slowly learning how to be friends again. You just need time to get over each other.

that is actual achieveable - hobby fades, so our romantic interest in somebody might desire to shrink, leaving friendship in its wake. Many relationships are outfitted upon stable foundations, regardless of if or no longer they be purely friendships, or romantic relationships. the two way, there is something on the middle of this relationship that makes you the two like one yet another, choose for to be around one yet another, and honestly care. you will want a history together, confident, and after a smash-up you isn't prompt friends. there is numerous thoughts to handle interior the aftermath of that. yet given the time it takes to handle a smash-up (coping takes everywhere from weeks to years, observing the character of the relationship), the folk in touch may well be friends. If the enthusiasm's purely no longer there, however the friendship continues to be, you will maintain that for the duration of a platonic experience.
