need to find a fashion designer/ artist that uses alot of repeat pattern in thier work or bases their work around repaet patterns please help!!

Off the top of my head...

Yayoi Kusama is an artist that uses repetition in her paintings and installations in pretty much an obsessive manner.

Shinka Yonibare uses historical repeat textile in his installations in a more conceptual manner (though I really wouldn't say the repeat textiles are his focus--I just really like his work)

Marimekko is a Finnish textile company that has been making repeat pattern print textiles since the '50's (I think). They have made some of the most recognizable prints from that era.

Also, check the Fabric Workshop museum: http://www.fabricworkshop.org/. Any noteable contemporary artist working in repeat print on textile would have gone through their artist-in-residence program or has had a show there.
